Long Course Weekend Tenby 2024
The Long Course Weekend in Tenby is a unique and challenging multisport festival that takes place annually in Pembrokeshire, Wales. Scheduled for 21st – 23rd June 2024, it’s a celebration of endurance sports that attracts over 11,000 athletes and 35,000 supporters from around the world. Here’s what the event entails:
Swim (Friday, 21st June): The weekend kicks off with The Wales Swim, a choice of a 2.4-mile or 1.2-mile open-water swim in the sea.
Bike (Saturday, 22nd June): Day two features The Wales Sportive, with cyclists choosing between 112-mile, 70-mile, or 42-mile courses through the beautiful Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
Run (Sunday, 23rd June): The final day concludes with The Wales Marathon, Half Marathon, 10k, and 5k runs, all finishing amid the vibrant atmosphere of Tenby.
Participants can mix and match distances across the three disciplines or go long in each to earn the coveted fourth medal. It’s an event that caters to athletes of all abilities, from professionals to those looking to complete their first long-distance event. The Long Course Weekend is not just a test of physical endurance but also a celebration of the athletes’ spirit and the community’s support.
